unit fund unit trust паевой трест или фонд (Великобритания): учреждение, вкладывающее свои средства преимущественно в ценные бумаги; ресурсы паевых фондов (равные инвестициям) складываются из стандартных паев, которые продаются небольшим инвесторам (свободно выкупаются обратно по более низкой цене); дивиденды и проценты, полученные по инвестициям, делятся в расчете на количество паев; первый фонд в Великобритании был основан в 1929 г., а в настоящее время насчитывается свыше 400 таких фондов; в отличие от США, фонды могут быть как с фиксированным, так и с изменяющимся портфелем инвестиций; см. fixed unit trust;
